Scranton is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Scranton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Driving through the area and stopped here for lunch. INCREDIBLE! I had the Carmella's Classic Sandwich, and it was one of the best Italian-Style sandwiches I've had in ages. Highly recommend checking them out!

β β β β β Carmellas Italian Deli is absolutely fantastic. The hoagies are amazing β packed with fresh ingredients, tons of flavor, and honestly you canβt go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is always fast, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also have amazing Italian desserts brought in from New York City that are the perfect finish to a great meal. Great food, great people, and consistently top-notch every time.

Possibly the best cold sub that I've ever had. The bread is so fresh! The sub looks unassuming, served in a plastc basket, but it is extraordinary! I love that it was accompanied by the PA staple, Middleswarth bar-b-q chips! Find this diamond in the rough! They have a vast offering of Italian desserts temptingly arranged in glass display cases. You will find something for everyone. They have homemade soups served in unpretentious styrofoam cups. You can dine in or take out. Street parking was easy and close by. Bring home a lobster claw but do NOT leave without a cannoli! Delicious!!

I got two pastries that were supposed to have nutella in it but surprisingly these two didnβt have the nutella at all. There is some creamy chocolate filling in it taste like a pudding and top as well is some cheap chocolate. Very disappointing.
